The Tough Renault Duster

The 2016 Renault Duster is most certainly a force to be reckoned with. A real competitor in the SUV market, it is also very attractive from a price point of view. It’s slogan, “time for tough”, means there is quite a lot to live up to, and it is safe to say that on every level it does! It handles the rugged outdoors just as well and smooth city roads, and no matter where you are you can trust Renault’s reputation when it comes to safety standards. Renault has an exemplary track record, and the Duster is no exception.

The Duster is tough, safe and ready for action! With ABS and emergency brake assist, you never have to worry about tricky situations. The vehicle is fitted with front and passenger airbags, as well as front head and side airbags. Height adjustable front seat belts allow for individual adjustment, and the new fixed front headrest create much more security, as to the three rear headrests. An ideal family car, the designers of the Duster have gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of its passengers, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

The new design creates an altogether tougher looking beast. More rugged and somewhat simplified, the 2016 Duster looks at just as at home cruising the city streets as it does riding off road through the vast South African landscape. The new roof racks are Duster branded, adding an extra element of finesse and style, and the same can be said of the newly designed alloy wheels. The colour matching side mirrors are just another example of the attention to detail that has been applied in the new redesign, as do the new looking radiator grille and front lights. All in all it just looks tougher and ready to take on whatever lies ahead.

The Duster comes in a variety of models, starting with the 1.6 75kw Expression 4×2. The next model up is the 1.6 Dynamique 2×4. Both of these are petrol engines. There are two diesel varieties – the 4×2 dCi Dynamique and the king of the Dusters, the 1.5 80kW dCi 4×4 Dynamique.
