At the core of Renault’s remanufacturing strategy lies the Flins Refactory in France. This pioneering facility is the first of its kind in Europe and is dedicated to the circular economy of mobility. The Refactory’s Re-Cycle program focuses on extending the life of vital car components. A €500 Million Investment Expands Horizons
Renault Group’s commitment to the remanufacturing strategy is underscored by a substantial €500 million investment. This funding aims to expand existing businesses and launch new ones by 2030.
According to Deloitte, the European replacement parts market, valued at €6.8 billion in 2022, is expected to grow to €8.2 billion by 2030. This growth is fueled by the ageing vehicle fleet and the rise of electric vehicles, making The Remakers’ role in the industry increasingly vital.
Collaborations For Decarbonisation
Renault’s vision extends beyond remanufacturing. In March, the Renault Group announced the production of a new generation electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) at its Sandouville plant in France.
This project is part of a joint venture with Volvo Group and logistics provider CMA CGM, aimed at decarbonising the transport and logistics sectors. The eLCV will feature a connected electronic platform to monitor delivery activity and business performance, potentially reducing logistic costs by up to 30%.
