The French automotive manufacturer, Renault has recently reaffirmed its unwavering support for vehicle assembly operations in Nigeria through its partnership with Coscharis Motors Assembly Limited. This is a significant move in terms of having a growing footprint on the African continent.
The commitment to the assembly line was highlighted during a visit to the Coscharis Motors Assembly Plant in Awoyaya, Lagos, by Laurent Ton-That who is Renault’s Area Operations Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa and Indian Ocean Islands.
During his visit, Ton-That admired the state-of-the-art facility where Renault’s Duster SUV and Logan sedan models are assembled. He inspected key production lines, including chassis/body assembly, brake testing, vehicle vibration testing, and paint/body inspection, voicing his satisfaction with the plant’s capabilities.
“I am impressed by what I have seen today,” Ton-That remarked, emphasising Renault’s commitment to supporting Coscharis Motors Assembly by providing necessary KD kits, training, and other essential resources.
Renault’s Expansion Plans For 2025
Felix Adepinye, Assembly Plant Manager at Coscharis Motors Assembly, reciprocated by expressing gratitude for Renault’s continued support. He highlighted how this partnership enables them to uphold OEM standards and maintain the highest levels of professionalism in delivering Renault vehicles to the Nigerian market.
In a separate engagement with Coscharis Sales and Marketing teams, Ton-That revealed exciting plans for Renault to introduce three new vehicle models to the Nigerian market in 2025.
This expansion aims to diversify the brand’s product lineup and cater to a broader range of consumer preferences, further solidifying Renault’s presence in Nigeria.
