The Renault Frères Innovation Trophies recognise the most outstanding innovations within the group, across various categories, including technology, design, marketing, and entrepreneurship. Among this year’s prestigious winners is an innovative software development for electric vehicle charging and a revolutionary modular platform for commercial vehicles.

But it’s not all about winning. This prestigious event also offers the finalists an opportunity to showcase their projects to a panel of esteemed judges, which includes outside experts and journalists. This opportunity gives them valuable exposure and feedback, helping to further refine and develop their ideas within the Renault group.

Deciding The Final Winners

Following a thorough selection process, 35 teams were shortlisted in six distinct categories. The final winners were decided through a mix of votes from Renault employees and a jury’s choices. The awards spanned multiple categories, reflecting the various innovative efforts within Renault.

  • Gold Technology Trophy: Awarded for “Solarbay,” a dynamic, PDLC technology-based panoramic roof that features in the new Renault Rafale and Renault Scénic E-Tech electric.
  • Silver Technology Trophy: Recognising “3-in-1 Sleep Pack” by Dacia, an innovative solution that transforms the Jogger into a versatile outdoor companion, offering comfort and practicality.
  • Bronze Technology Trophy: For an ingenious cooling system in hybrid vehicles.
  • Industry Trophy: The “Supply Chain Control Tower” project, utilising artificial intelligence to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Quality Trophy: Focused on the “Megane and Austral ‘Confirmation Runs’,” a rigorous road-testing process ensuring unparalleled vehicle quality.
  • Customer Relations Trophy: Awarded to “Plug Inn,” a system enhancing the EV experience by connecting drivers with private charging points.
  • Small & Smart Trophy: For a cost-effective, AI-driven validation process of driving aids.
  • Transformation Trophy: Recognising a new process at manufacturing sites for faster incident resolution, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Special Jury Trophies: These were awarded to Julien Fé for his inventive solution in factory ergonomics and a new and eco-friendlier painting process referred to as “Wet unmasking.”
