Renault Talisman – Official Vehicle at the Cannes Film Festival
Voted Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2015, the Renault Talisman, star that it is, will shine as the official vehicle of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. This means that it will accompany not only members of the festival jury (which is to be chaired by none other than the great George Miller), but it will also transport some of the biggest American and European movie stars who will be attending the festival.
33 Years of Renault at Cannes
For 33 years Renault has been the official automotive partner of what is often called the most glamorous film festival in the world. And this year will be no exception, with Renault providing a fleet of over 300 vehicles that will be sporting a Golden Palm for the occasion. This official fleet will not only include the Talisman, but also the new Espace, the New Mégane, the Nissan Kadjar and the Renault Twizy. To top it all off, every model of New Renault Vehicle used at the film festival will also be available to members of the public for test drives.
What Makes the Talisman and Films Such a Good Combination?
Renault’s history has been linked to that of the cinema since the very beginning when in 1895 Renault built one of its first factories close to the original cinema studios in Billancourt. Since then, Renault has grown to become the temptress of the silver screen and has supplied vehicles to film festivals in:

This year, however, the Talisman brings something even more special to the event, as it was selected by more than 125,000 web users in Europe (which works out to about 40% of the public vote), to be named the Most Beautiful Car of the Year in 2015! It was because of this title that Renault made the simple decision to make the Talisman their first choice model to represent the Renault brand at Cannes.
