Renault has been the experts in the LCV market for more than 120 years and leaders in Europe for 21 consecutive years. They’ve now combined all of their knowledge and experience into making the new Renault Kangoo and Renault Express vans.
To meet the exceeding expectations and needs of all its customers, the new Renault Kangoo and Renault Express have been unveiled for the overseas markets. Both the Renault Kangoo and Express will be available in LCV and passenger car versions. They plan on marketing and launching this complimentary range of vehicles from spring 2021.
New Renault Kangoo Checks All The Boxes
The new Renault Kangoo Van is innovative in design with an athletic and dynamic styling profile. Loaded with the latest technologies, this multi-purpose vehicle is the perfect choice for fleets, craftsmen and traders. One of the great features is the ‘Easy Side Access’ and ‘Easy Inside Rack’ which has revolutionised loading and cargo bay access.
Easy Side Access is particularly convenient when driving in city centres as it allows customers to easily access the load despite facing parking constraints and limited surrounding space. Renault removed the central pillar in the Kangoo Van which means it now offers the widest side access on the market. It’s twice the size of the previous vehicle with an astonishing 1,416 mm.
The Easy Inside Rack is a retractable interior gallery that allows you to transport longer and heavier items raising it off the floor which frees up loads of space. Other features designed to make life easier for any professional using the Renault Kangoo cargo model include Trailer Swing Assist, Brake Stability Control and AEBS (Advanced Emergency Active Braking).
Design And Styling
The new Renault Kangoo Van certainly makes its mark with a more muscular exterior design and redesigned front end. It now comes with a chrome line between the grille and the front bumper with sculpted sides. These sophisticated design changes and subtle finishes almost put the Kangoo Van on the upmarket scale but without the exorbitant price tag.
The new interior sees a horizontal dashboard with several storage compartments along with redesigned, seats for added comfort and durability. It also features the Renault EASY LINK multimedia system and new driving aids including the following:
- Permanent Rear View digital interior mirror
- Blind Spot Warning
- Front & Rear Park Assist
- Wide View Mirror
The new Renault Kangoo Van will be available in various body sizes and either powered by diesel, petrol or an electric powertrain. There will be an option of a standard or long version with a manual and automatic transmission with exceptional volume ranging from 3.3 to 3.9 m³ in the standard version and 4.2 to 4.9 m³ in the long version.
The 2021 Renault Kangoo Van is as elegant and stylish as it is roomy. Turning the van into a spacious five-seater perfectly meets the needs of dynamic families. The new look, enhanced comfort coupled with several cutting-edge driving aids could make this ‘modular-type’ vehicle a very popular choice for a large range of professional customers.
Here’s what Mark Sutcliffe, SVP, Alliance LCV Business Unit had to say: “Renault is once again revolutionizing the van and combi-space segment with the All-new Kangoo and the All-new Express. These new complementary models meet the diverse needs of professionals and individuals. With over 4 million units sold since 1997, Kangoo is an iconic vehicle.”
The new Renault Kangoo and Renault Express are not on sale in South Africa but there are so many other new and quality pre-owned vehicles to choose from.
