Renault South Africa Has Record 2015 Year

Record Sales for Renault

Renault South Africa’s Best Year – More Than 20 000 Vehicles Sold

It is official, Renault South Africa has announced that it enjoyed an “unprecedented growth” period in terms of overall new Renault vehicle sales over the 12 month period of January 2015 until the end of December 2015. This is despite a massive decline in the overall sales figures for the South African automotive market in general. In fact, the much loved French brand has had its “best year ever” in South Africa and officially sold more than 20 000 vehicles according to the Chief Executive Officer of Renault South Africa, Mr Nicholas de Canha. He further went on to add that “It was a record year for us, with sales making South Africa the largest Renault importer worldwide — the only countries selling more than us being factory subsidiaries.”

Renault Has a BIG Future in South Africa

With Renault South Africa now selling more than 20 000 units in one year the South African market is now competing for the top spot in Renault sales with massive markets such as Egypt, which is known for being a notably large purchaser of Renault’s. Importantly this has also now positioned Renault in 7th place among SA’s top selling automotive brands. All of this is due to the success of a number of Renault models in South Africa, including the Sandero, Captur, Duster, and Clio. All of which placed in the top five of their respective segments for overall sales.

Renault New Vehicles have most certainly bucked the lower sales trend in the South African automotive market of 2015, a sure sign that the brand is doing things right not just here but in almost all international vehicle sales markets. 2016 is also off to an impressive start with even more promotions and specials, as well as New Renault Vehicle Model launches in the pipeline This includes the introduction of the exciting Renault Kadjar and Renault Talisman to the SA market.
